Architect, born in Naples, and "professor emeritus" on the «History of Architecture» for the faculty of Architecture at Federico II University in Naples. He has taught the «History of Design» at the University's institute Suor Orsola Benincasa. In 1964 he founded the journal «Op. cit.» – a selection of critiques on comtemporary art (dedica-ted to architecture, design, and visual arts) and has directed the journal since. In 1967, «Op. cit.» won the Inarch award, and in 2001 he won the Inarch award for life-long achievement. He manages the chain of Architectural and design critiques pub. by Franco Angeli in Milan; the History of Architecture and Design pub. by Liguori Editore in Naples; The ADI (The Industrial Design Association) and the chain of «Treatises of Modern Architecture» published by Compositori in Bologna. He has managed all the entries related to architecture, the figurative arts, and design in the Grande Dizionario Enciclopedico, pub. by UTET, in 1984. He created the two volumes entitled The instru-ments of contemporary knowledge and has written the examinations Architecture, Figurative Arts, and Design, pub. by UTET, in 1985. He is an honoured member of ADI. The key dates of his curriculum are: Graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Architecture in 1953; In 1954 he joined MAC (Movimento arte concreta) and has been a member since, he studied with Zanuso, and collaborates in «Casabella-continuità» by Ernesto. N. Rogers; In 1955 he joined the Institute of the History of Architecture, University of Naples, which was presided by Roberto Pane; in 1961 he became an Associated Professor in «Characters of Modern Architecture»; in 1972 he won an award for his book «The History of Architecture»; 2008 receives the Career Award by «Compasso d'Oro ADI».
